Nova allows you to personalise your campaigns and refine your outreach by using the Context Box. Think of it as a way to train Nova just like you would onboard a new co-worker — by giving them rules, knowledge, and direction about how to communicate on your behalf.

Follow this step-by-step guide to effectively use the Context Box when setting up your campaigns.

1. Understanding the Context Box

The Context Box is a key component in campaign setup that allows you to:

  • Define your goals and objectives for each campaign.

  • Specify the tone, structure, and rules Nova must follow.

  • Guide Nova on what to include or exclude in her messages.

  • Personalise the approach based on your brand voice and campaign purpose.

Think of the Context Box as Nova’s reference point — where she learns how to sound like you and what outcome to aim for.

2. Setting the Campaign Objective

  1. After onboarding Nova, navigate to your campaign setup page.

  2. Upload your CSV file containing prospect information.

  3. In the Objective field (above the Context Box), define what you want to achieve.

    • Example:

      • “My goal is to drive website traffic.”

      • “I want to sell tickets for my event happening in Dublin.”

      • “I want to reach out to people I met at an industry event.”

This objective gives Nova clarity on the campaign’s purpose.

3. Using the Context Box

The Context Box is where you guide Nova on how to behave, what tone to use, and what actions to take.

Include the following elements:

  • Goals and Directives
Explain what you expect Nova to accomplish.
Example: “Generate leads for my upcoming webinar and include the booking link in the second email.”

  • Rules and Guidelines

    Example format:

Clearly outline how Nova should or shouldn’t write.

Example format:

These are the rules you must follow:

1. Do not start a message with ‘I hope this finds you well.’

2. Avoid overly excitable language such as ‘fantastic’, ‘commendable’, or ‘inspiring’.

3. Keep messages under 200 words.

4. Mention the booking link in email 2.

  • Tone and Personality
Mention how Nova should sound — friendly, professional, formal, or conversational.
Example: “Maintain a professional yet approachable tone throughout.”

  • Message Structure
You can specify how each email or message should be formatted.
    Example:

    • Email 1: Introduce the event and thank them for their time.

    • Email 2: Add the booking or event link.

    • Email 3: Offer to schedule a short call.

  • Assets or Links
Add any URLs that Nova should include, such as:

    • Website

    • Booking or meeting links

    • Event registration pages

4. Example Setup

Campaign Objective:

Sell tickets for an upcoming event in Dublin.

Context Box Example:

These are the rules you must follow:

1. Begin messages with a friendly greeting, not “I hope this finds you well.”

2. Avoid using overly excitable language like “fantastic” or “inspiring.”

3. Include the event booking link in the second email: [Insert Link].

4. Keep the message length within 200 words.

5. Maintain a polite, confident tone throughout.

5. Best Practices

  • Always fill the Context Box before launching a campaign.

    • If left blank, Nova will generate messages using her own logic and may not match your communication style.

  • Keep your tone and instructions consistent with your brand personality.

  • Review the generated messages under Workbench in Copilot Mode before switching to Autopilot.

  • Allow 1–2 days for Nova to analyse and train before activating your campaign.

6. Cloning and Reusing Campaigns

When a campaign performs well, you can quickly clone it instead of recreating it.

  1. Go to Campaigns > Clone.

  2. Upload your new CSV file.

  3. Update the objective and context if necessary.

  4. Adjust the schedule and steps, then activate.

Cloning helps maintain successful setups and saves time when creating similar campaigns.

7. Reviewing Messages

Once Nova starts generating messages:

  1. Go to the Audience tab to review each message

  2. Click Manually Edit to make changes, or Regenerate to refresh the content.

  3. Approve messages when you are satisfied.

  4. Use the same process for reviewing emails and LinkedIn messages.

8. Summary

Using the Context Box helps Nova understand your tone, objectives, and expectations.

By training her properly, you ensure that every campaign is aligned with your brand and communication goals.

Remember:

Nova performs best when she’s trained with clear instructions — just like a co-worker who knows exactly what you want.
