Nova is your AI-powered sales assistant, here to streamline your outbound campaigns by writing emails, sending LinkedIn messages and voice notes, managing follow-ups, and scheduling meetings—saving you time and effort!
Training Nova
The first step is to train Nova on what makes your business unique. This will help Nova personalise her messaging and effectively communicate your company’s value proposition. Training is at a central level so that all users benefit from the knowledge. Think of onboarding Nova as onboarding a new team member who supports everyone. Provide her with key documents, such as:
Company Overview: Your history, mission, values, and product or service offerings.
Sales/Marketing Collateral: Presentations, case studies, success stories, and ideal customer personas.
Branding Guidelines: Logo, colour palette, typography, and brand voice.
Sales Transcripts: Examples of real customer conversations.
Competitor Analysis: Insights into market positioning and competitors.
Pricing Information: Details on models, packages, and discounts.
Use Fine Tune Your Custom Nova | Launched to ask her questions to understand what she’s learned. You can Fine Tune any points for refinement by using the term Remember and then a sentence about your feedback on what to improve or store in her long memory.
Use the Monitor Nova's learning progress | Launched to see of Nova's key learnings in a centralised location and provide updates in the future for newer released document versions. For example you have a new product release so the product document v2 is the updated version.
Campaign Setup
Once Nova is trained on your value propositions you can have her execute campaigns. Each Nova license represents a person to amplify their potential. Before starting a campaign ensure your details are accurately entered under your account settings Account | Admin Centre with the first name surname and a HTML email signature.
Nova can target data from your HubSpot account and Apollo if you have a license. By setting up the integration she can quickly use data from these sources to execute campaigns, therefore review the setup under your Integrations | Admin Centre
She can also target records saved from within Launched so review tool such as Monitor | Launched to save warm records for her to engage (also see the later use guide step Setting up Monitor to gain website traffic intelligence)
She can also target a CSV or any list of prospects (a template can be found by clicking here) this is also available to download as part of the setup process from the page where you click on "Contact List" and then Download sample template.
For all data sources the key columns are; email, company, jobtitle, First Name, Last Name, Person Linkedin Url, Website, Company Linkedin Url.
Currently each Nova campaign can have 1600 prospects included.
Campaign Execution
Running campaigns can be executed from Nova | Launched
We recommend to connect your own warm email boxes and this can be done under Nova | Admin Centre > emails. Using your own means a warm domain and this improves the deliverability. Launched also have available a set of email boxes from a sister domain. For reference these can be found under Inbox | Launched. These sister email boxes need warming to ensure the best connectivity with your target prospects. Your customer success manager should have supplied you with a file containing Launched employees to support with this process, please add employees from your company and any others who can support. To begin with send a series of small campaigns to start with just be sending out 5 emails per day, then increase this to 10, then week 2 about 20, week 3 about 30 and week 4 40. For the known receivers ask everyone to move the emails from junk and mark as not spam and reply to the messages. The message replies are not too important is is just to demonstrate a response to the domain. Ideally this warming would take place over 30 to 40 days, so can be completed while the Nova training is taking place.
Choose the data type you would like to use for your campaign targeting.

CSV the list of prospect to upload
Each route follows a core campaign setup with an prospect email enrichment step if choosing an account list upload
Each campaign you want Nova to support you with can have a specific focus, so the first step is call the campaign name something you can refer back to in the future, e.g. website visitors January week 1 2025 or Exhibition stand visitors.. whatever the main focus is
By adding your company website for www. (e.g. Launched is www.launchedtech.io) and clicking on the "Suggest" icon this helps add some useful quick campaign positioning aspects.
Nova has her style of selling and takes a hunter mindset to achieve the outcomes you set her. To support her with the campaign goals you can add context about why you are targeting the prospects.
The Background frames any high level positioning, such as if they are cold prospects or if you met them from an event or if there are a type of persona or personality.
The Context box is where you direct Nova and what to write about, if you have a strategy then provider her with the ideas on the messaging and what is you want to achieve. This direction should be explicit. If you want her to include a link, add the URL, If you want her to use case studies from her training knowledge, say what it is, if you want her to cover certain points in certain emails say, email one include xyz.
Using "These are rules you must follow" and then state what it is your need her to do.
For example :
These are the rules you must follow:
You must not open an email with "I hope this finds you well”
You must not use overly excitable language such as commendable, inspiring, dedication, fantastic
You must not reference the previous message
You must write emails with under 150 words
Provide asset web links to provide value to prospects and build rapport
Provide a framework as an idea
Email one - follow this structure xxxx, email 2 share this case study yyy, email 3 offer my booking link XXXX
You can setup creative ways to provide background information e.g. these are lost deals from last year. This are prospects I met at a networking event called YYYY
Here is an example
Campaign Background:This campaign is targeting founders of marketing agencies. The focus is on building a relationship and understanding if they want to expand their service offerings by using Nova.
Campaign Context:Take a personal friendly founder to founder approach and mention that I undertand the importance of having revenue streams to support customers with valuable services. Include that I used to run a marketing agency so can relate to how the market is shifting and how this could be impacting them. Start the first message by offering value and reference the new playbook I just released which supports agencies think about adding AI services, here is the link https://www.linkedin.com/posts/paul-whittall-9725906_ai-is-squeezing-agency-margins-but-its-activity-7354448639789834240-orrq?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop&rcm=ACoAAAEnOmYBowkFxb1UiHRYrxIu_8GduprTPNY. Continue the messages with an inquisitive approach seeking to understand more about their business. Include in the 2nd email an introduction to the Launched Partner programme referencing why they would be a good fit and how our bleeding edge solutions like Nova with AI calling can provide them and their customers a unique opportunity. In the 3rd email offer to have an exploratory short conversation by offer my booking link https://meetings-eu1.hubspot.com/paul-whittall
There is also a section at the bottom of page to add other assets. The recommendation is to add any assets to the Nova training https://app.launchedtech.io/app/nova/upload they can be used to support any future engagement rather then just a single campaign.
You can choose the language for Nova to write and select the stye you would like her to use including the formality.
Exclude any companies you don't want to be contacted. This is a useful ring-fence to ensure customers are not included, valuable if going down the CRM data source route.
Disable on Reply means the pre-designed email sequence steps will stop when a prospect sends a message. If you want Nova to support with replies as well as the messages, set this to disable.
Reply Mode is when a response comes back how do you want this to be handled. Autopilot is where Nova will reply, Copilot, she will draft the response for your approval, or Manual is where you write the reply.
You can task Nova with outcomes. So get a reply to the email. Get the prospect to your website, just add the url. Or Schedule a meeting, just add your meeting booking link.
If you are adding instructions to Nova in the Context box on the first page use Reply as the option to enable this to be best accommodated.
The type of CSV upload can be
A company list, which then takes you to a prospect enrichment using Apollo.
Contact is a list of prospects with their emails (use the Launched template here, also found on the page to import)
You have a summary of the campaign targeting review and click Launch
If you want to add Personal Context, so individual background or specific prospect positioning, such as the first prospect in the list you stayed at the same hotel, and the fourth prospect you spoke with and know they are looking to get a promotion this can be done before going live.
Option 1 is within the import template there is a column called "context" just add the background to each record before importing.
Option 2 is when you get to the Sequence design page, the first thing to do is go to the tab called Audience
Then you can click on the View/Edit Personal Context
Add whatever the background information you have, and then continue with the Sequence steps under the Sequence tab.
Nova is designed with full automation and also human co-working. To support this you can add sequence steps. Choose if you want to connect on LinkedIn, send a LinkedIn message, leave a LinkedIn voice note, send an email. Or add a human calling touch point in the design.
You can choose when you want the step be scheduled and if you want the Mode to be Autopilot where she writes and send, Co-pilot where she drafts for you to approve, or Manual where you write.
Steps can be named anything you like. You may have a sales strategy to included the human touch so naming provides the option where needed. Or keep it simple like 1st intro
Build as many steps as you like taking the autopilot, co-pilot, manual approach or the combination which supports your strategy for the campaign. We advise to leave a few days between messages not to bombard the prospect.
Choose the start date for when you want the first email to be sent. Select the start date and the first step to be day 1. It is important that these are set in the future and this to be at least, ideally 2 days to allow time for Nova to write the automated messages.
Choose if you want to include weekends or only business days (Monday to Friday) in the design.
Once you are happy with the campaign steps set to Active
You can see all your campaigns under the Your Nova campaigns | Launched.
If you have chosen auto and co-pilot Nova will start writing your emails ahead of the due send date. This can be found under the subtab called Audience
Audience also provides a summary of campaign conversions
Your Workbench shows a summary of all campaigns
If you want to stop Nova from sending messages to certain prospects in a Sequence (best practise if get a response especially from LinkedIn) click of the Sequence tab and click on the Prospects button and just
