When “Unique Prospects” Doesn’t Seem to Work (and How to Fix It)

You’re reviewing your campaign analytics and flip on the “Unique Prospects Only” toggle…
but nothing changes.

The numbers look exactly the same as before — which makes you wonder if the feature is broken.
Don’t worry, here’s what’s going on and how you can troubleshoot it quickly.

Why This Happens

The Unique Prospects filter is designed to count each prospect only once, no matter how many times they were contacted in a campaign.

But sometimes, due to caching or a temporary display glitch, the dashboard might keep showing the total prospect count even after toggling.

The Quick Fix

Follow this step-by-step checklist before escalating:

1. Open the Campaign Analytics
Navigate to the campaign in question and open its Analytics view.

2. Toggle “Unique Prospects”
Click the toggle to enable the filter.

3. Refresh the Page
Use a hard refresh (Ctrl + Shift + R on Windows, Command + Shift + R on Mac) to clear cached data and reload the latest numbers.

4. Export the Data
If the numbers still look off, click Export Data and open the file in Excel or Google Sheets.
Look for the Unique Prospects column — it will give you the definitive count.

When to Escalate

If the exported file shows no difference between unique and total prospects, escalate the issue to your support or analytics team. There may be a deeper reporting issue that needs investigation.
